Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

 

 

  1. Author Guidelines

    The text shall be the result of research or literature review in Indonesian or English, manuscripts that have not been or are not in the process of publication, original and novelty.

    1. Number of pages of the manuscript of at least 2500 (one thousand nine hundred) words and a maximum of 15 (fifteen) pages or 6,000 (five thousand) words.
    2. Written in standard Indonesian or English, paper size A4.
    3. Typed in the form of one (1) column.
    4. Writing distance between rows is 1 (one) space.
    5. Format margin is Multiple Pages - Mirror Margins: Top 2 cm, Bottom 2 cm, 3 cm Inside, Outside 2 cm.
    6. Foreign words in italics (italic).
    7. Posts in the font Palatino Linotype 10 with MS Word word processor (at least MS Word 6).
    8. Pictures are numbered and the title of the picture as well as written below the image at a distance of 1 (one) space.
    9. Table by table number and title of the table as well as written above the table with a distance of 1 (one) space.
    10. Manuscripts sent to the editor in the form of Indonesian or English must be accompanied by an abstract and key words in Indonesian and English.
    11. The abstract written a general description of the content of the manuscript with the provisions of no more than 350 words and typed in a spacing of 1 (one) with the font Palatino Linotype 9 italic in any format (English) and normal (Indonesian). 
    12. Abstract background containing the problem, the solution offered, objectives, methods used, results of experiments, analysis of test results, and conclusions.
    13. Title manuscript written in brief and informative with the font Calibri (Body) 16 (sixteen) bold and if there are subtitles, the same type of letter to the main titles, but their case is 20 (twenty).
    14. The author's name is written manuscript is complete without an academic degree and its affiliates with the font Book Antiqua 12 (twelve) italic.
    15. Minimal reference used was 15 reference  (at least 10 years of writing articles, unless the discussion is limited)
      Content writing is not the responsibility of the editor and the editor reserves the right to make changes and correct grammar every script that is loaded.
    16. Use one of the tools for reference management, eg reference management feature of Microsoft Word, Zetero, Mendeley.
    17. The manuscript is sent through this OJS.
    18. Each author is required to download the JKDH TEMPLATE as a reference to the script to be published by JKDH

 

Title (Judul)

  • The title is written informative, concise, and not too long or short (5 -12 words) with Times New Roman font, size 11 pt Bold, 1 spacing.
  • Consists of the variables under study and describes the content of the manuscript.
  • A title does not contain abbreviations or formulas.
  • The title page should include the title of the manuscript only. The names of authors should be deleted to ensure double blinding of the paper during the peer review process.

Abstract and Keyword 

  • The abstract is concisely written , about the most important ideas and contain the problems or research objectives, research method, and research results.
  • Written in an Indonesian and English language with 150-200 words maximum.
  • If the article was written in Bahasa Indonesia, the abstract should be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English properly. If the article was written in English, the abstract should be written only in English.
  • Abstract for each language only allowed to be written in 1 paragraph with 1 column format
  • Keywords contains main wordsor phrase consisting of 3-5 words .

Introduction (Pendahuluan)

An introduction is presented in an integrated manner without subtitle. It is written in the form of paragraphs with a length of 15-20% of the articles length, and contains:

  • Background or research rational
  • Theoretical basis (literature review in brief)
  • Research objective

Method (Metode)

Method is written with a length of 15-20% of the articles length and contain:

  • The study design
  • Data collection techniques and data sources
  • Method of data analysis

Results and Discussion (Hasil Penelitian dan Pembahasan)

Results and discussion are presented with a length of 60-70% of the articles length. The results represent a major part of scientific articles containing:

  • Results of data analysis
  • Results of hypothesis testing
  • It can be presented with a table or graph to clarify results verbally
  • Discussion is an important part of the entire scientific article. The purposes of the discussion are: answer the research problem, interpret the findings, integrate the findings of research into the existing knowledge, and formulate a new theory or modify the existing theories.
  • A serial number that is used is number (1), (2), (3), and so on, do not need to use a composite number. Hyphens should not change the serial number.

Conclusions (Kesimpulan)

  • Contain conclusions and recommendations.
  • Conclusions contain answers to the research questions
  • Recommendations refer to the results of research and practical form of action, specify to whom and for what recommendation intended.
  • Written in essay form, not in numerical form.

References (Daftar Pustaka)

  • Contain literature that is referenced in the content, arranged alphabetically, and written in the APA (American Psychological Association) system.
  • Fully written, appropriate with the references in the content
  • Only load literature referenced in the content
  • Source of references are 80% from literature published last 10 years.
  • References are at least 80% from research articles in journals or research reports.
  • An article should refer to the article published in the JKDH journal.
  • Bibliography format is APA

  4. The text or the format of your article is already appropriate with our article template, if don't, please see first our Author Guidelines.
  5. The minimum similarity of < 50 % uses iThenticate or TurnitIn
  6. Minimum reference> 15 comes from 80% of scientific journals, the rest may be sourced from proceedings, patents, research books, research reports.
